h1. Downloads

* *AdiIRC is freeware*, _not open source_.

* All major Windows Operating Systems are supported: Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 or Server 2008/2012, both 32-bit and 64-bit.

* It requires Microsoft .NET 4.0 Runtime or higher installed, you can download it "here":https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851 or get it from WindowsUpdate. Our installer will also offer the install for you.

_It is included by default on Windows 8/8.1/10+._

h2. Virus Disclaimer

_Antivirus flags AdiIRC as having a virus or trojan._

AdiIRC seems to generate a lot of false positives in some antivirus programs, if possible, please submit the file to your antivirus vendor for false positive analyzes, so the vendor can improve detection, and/or white-list AdiIRC.exe.

If you are unsure, the false positives seems to be resolved after a few weeks, you can try update again then. Also be free to scan AdiIRC executable on "VirusTotal"://www.virustotal.com, there are over 50 virus scanners, usually a tiny amount of engines are flagging it, a strong indication it is a false-positive.
